How Does a Central Plant Operate?

Step 1:

In a boiler or CHP system, thermal energy is converted into electricity and is distributed in the building through pipelines in the form of steam or hot water.

Step 2:

the fuel is converted into energy in large chillers or steam turbine and is then distributed as chilled water or brine through pipes.
